Admin_Steve's Custom Notes:

Permaban issued. Do NOT attempt to download the attachment from the quarantine folder.

Several users reported that opening the zip file causes an immediate system memory leak. The executable inside doesn't trip standard antivirus definitions, but it forcefully writes corrupted visual data into the monitor's driver cache. The "game" contains heavily distorted audio and graphic depictions of violence that violate our Terms of Service.

More concerningly: I tried to delete the thread completely from the database, but it returned an SQL lock error. The file is actively modifying its own permissions on our server. I am taking the server offline for a hard wipe. If anyone sees this user re-register, IP ban the subnet immediately.
[UPDATE - 10/28/2011 05:12 AM]
About 1-2 hours after issuing the ban, the users who initially reported this thread started spamming my inbox with erratic, incoherent PMs. Earlier tonight, I asked a couple of junior moderators to run the file in a controlled environment to verify the reports, but I haven't been able to reach either of them since. No response on Skype, no activity on the board. This is unsettling. Something is deeply wrong with that file. I will update this log if anything changes.
